In the Midwest US if people want to imitate Chinese they usually say something “Ching chong”. I think the x (sh) sound is very common so Chinese sounds a bit like you’re always hissing or shushing, there’s a lot of fricatives. But then also because of the tones it has an aggressive sound like German or Russian.
