A Miniature Quilt is a wonderful way to explore a piecing or quilting technique or make a pattern without a huge investment in time and fabric. They are defined as small versions of full sized quilts and range in size between 12 to 24 inches on a side to being no larger than 24 inches square.

Can quilt blocks be any size?

The most simple quilt block to scale up or down is a block made up of only squares of fabric. For a nine-patch block, any finished block size will work as long as it is divisible by three. Finished sizes that are possible include: 15-inch block: Nine squares that finish at 5 inches by 5 inches each.
